One of my trusty IPMS Phoenix club buddies located a good spot for our club battlefield at his father’s house at 19th avenue and Greenway in Phoenix.  It is the rear portion of a horse property that is 140’ by 60’ and is flat, fenced in, and open to be developed.  We also thank the Children’s Playhouse and Preschool for allowing us to park in their lot.

The only field requirement is to leave the horse shoe pits alone.  Clearing away the pea sized gravel and building the terrain features on a tight budget has been a challenge.  The first North Afrikan buildings, Palm trees, and Axis airfield were completed in 2007, Kasserine Pass, El Elemain station and the European elements followed in 2008, Russian factory began 2009 and the rest of Stalingrad appeared in 2010.
