Put to a vote, The Firefly was the crowd Favorite For my next COnversion/ Scratch builD Project.  Tamiya Provides the Sherman and the 17 PDR barrel but little else to make an honest replica.  What to do but come up With a unique Version that will be true to the DAK style.  I have chosen the Ic Hybrid variant to match the Radial engine noise and Kitbash some products I already have on Hand.  The key will be the correct mantlet and turret modifications.  I will ADD recoil as I plan to install the new Sherman electRonics from the Super Sherman for this project.

I have named the project “whistler” after sgt rex whistler who conceived the idea for the counter shaded barrel to mask the gun tube.  In addition, when I add the rockets....
