Several strategic concerns of the Soviet Union centered on the fact munitions factories critical to repelling the German offenensive were overrun in the first months of Barbarossa. Unprecedented feats of logistics were accomplished moving entire tank factories east to the Urals. For the Leningrad and Stalingrad plants left behind, they found themselves part of the battle. We have worked on a "factory" element to our field for many years.. Time to get everyone all caught up!
